30/6 - 31/7

The colourfully embossed horsehair embroidery of the Shui ethnic group - an art form now inscribed on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List - is a traditional folk handicraft passed down orally from generation to generation. The ‘dot’ and ‘paint’ Danzhai Batik - in which patterns comprise relatively abstract ‘geometric’ and ‘natural’ scenes featuring flowers, birds, fish and insects - can also be seen in Lou Kau Mansion (30/6-31/7) (...).
