Pyrography is the art of painting with burn marks created by the controlled application of heated objects transformed into simple but beautiful art. The stone - often of pure colour - is first honed and polished before artisans outline the image that is to be carved on the smooth surface. Pyrographic artist Tang Zheng and stone carving artisan Lu Yuchen will demonstrate their respective arts at Lou Kau Mansion, a traditional two-storey, grey-brick courtyard house with Western architectural influences.
