The opening of the exhibition “This is where I will always be – Works by Nuno Santiago”, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, held on March 20, Friday, at 6.30pm, at Tap Seac Gallery, showcasing 28 painting works by the Portuguese artist. Present at the opening ceremony were Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Alexis, Tam Chon Weng; Director of the Department of Education and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R, Xu Ting; The Representative of the Consul General of Portugal in Macao and Hong Kong, Chancellor Manuel Ricardo da Silva; President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Ung Vai Meng; Member of the Cultural Consultative Committee, Carlos Marreiros; Director of Macao Delegation of the Orient Foundation, Ana Paula Cleto; Artist of the exhibition, Nuno Santiago.
In ‘Foam Tip' by Arlinda Frota the medically trained artist shows 77 hand-painted porcelain pieces, influenced by her global travels. A recipient of the Kofi Annan prize, she has exhibited across Europe and Asia. Meanwhile, in ‘Transmutation' Carol Kwok presents a series of nine fine-art photographs, of which she says: "I try to be as conceptual as I can.

After the 5th consecutive year of Sound & Image Challenge Worldwide 2014, it is once again on the move, and converts into a bigger and even more exciting event, Sound & Image Challenge 2015, Short-Film Festival, compromises two separate contests, Short-Film contest – SHORTS and Music Video contest – VOLUME.
The 26th Macao Arts Festival (MAF), organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be held from 1 to 31 May. The theme of the 26th edition of the festival is “Encounter”, which seeks to transcend the boundaries of art and allow different mediums of the arts to converse, thus demonstrating the diversification of art.
