The Instinctive Moment: A Marc Riboud Retrospective
French photographer Marc Riboud - renowned as a gifted 20th Century photojournalist - was one of the few Western photographers permitted to officially photograph China in Mao Zedong's regime. In addition to China, Riboud visited many other places around the world. This exhibition features over 130 classic works 'captured' between 1953 and 2006, with half related to China, including previously unpublished photos. Visitors may also see some of Riboud's most remarkable works in the exhibition, such as 'Eiffel Tower Painter' and Riboud's first photograph of China.
