Marc Riboud is one of the greatest photojournalist in the 20th century. He was one of the few western photographers permitted to officially take pictures of China in the Mao’s regime. During his 50-year of photographic career, Riboud has visited China over 20 times and has wandered many places around the world. ‘The Instinctive Moment: A Marc Riboud Retrospective’ features over 130 classic works taken by this renowned French photographer between 1953 and 2006, with half of them about China and including previously unpublished pictures. Visitors may also see some of the most remarkable works by Riboud at the exhibition, such as ‘Eiffel Tower Painter’ and Riboud’s first picture taken in China.
