Established by the Macao S.A.R Cultural
Institute, Macao Art Net (www.macauart.net) is an art exchange platform for Macao
art circles and public. It is operated by
the Editors Committee made up of professionals from the art area. Its primary goal
is to make artists, art-enthusiasts, associations, schools,
government departments and agencies, even the general public, access
local and international art news and activities easily through the
World Wide Web and, to set up an on-line database of Macao territory
art information. Furthermore, Macau Art Net intends to create a
closer relationship with other worldwide communities, deepening their
understanding of Macao's arts and pursuing promote the exchange of
artistic ideas between Macao and other regions and countries.
Macau Art Net features
an all-weather art network, providing the latest and most
comprehensive information, especially from Macao, collecting
distinguished articles and commentaries, establishing databases
about Macao artists and art associations, and providing an on-line
gallery, interactive forums and other services. By means of pictures
and short videos, even live broadcast, it presents the arts information in traditional Chinese, simplified
Chinese, Portuguese and English. Dealing with the category of Visual Arts in the first stage, it will
gradually expand to other arts categories later, for example,
performing arts, etc..
The slogan of "Establishing together the art
community of Macao" is addressed by Macao Art Net. We welcome all art associations, schools, groups and
individuals to provide us with any art information, articles,
commentaries and artworks. All information received will contribute
to the development of this art community that we can share our
accomplishments with each other. Moreover, all lovers of arts (Macao
and other regions and countries) are very welcome to join our
community and become registered members, discussing your ideas in
the interactive forums and receiving regularly a newsletter of the
latest art information from us through email. We will also invite
active and supportive members, or people that have been providing
art information to our website to become 'special members' of Macao
Art Net after verification, through which ones can enjoy more
activities and preferential
policies from our website.
